Position Overview

We are looking for an HR professional with 2–5 years of experience in Performance Management, preferably within a manufacturing or factory environment. The candidate will be responsible for managing the complete employee performance cycle, including KPI/KRA setting, performance reviews, annual evaluations, probation confirmation, competency development, training needs identification, and performance improvement initiatives


The role will involve working closely with business leaders, functional managers, and employees to ensure a structured, transparent, and measurable performance management process.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the end-to-end Performance Management System (PMS) across the organization.  

  2. Coordinate KRA/KPI setting, goal alignment, mid-year reviews, annual appraisals, and final performance evaluations.  

  3. Drive the annual performance review cycle, ensuring timely completion and effective documentation.  

  4. Support managers in defining measurable and role-specific KRAs, KPIs, competencies, and performance objectives.  

  5. Manage the probation evaluation and confirmation process, including review timelines, feedback, documentation, and confirmation recommendations.  

  6. Identify performance gaps and development needs through performance reviews and competency assessments.  

  7. Conduct Training Needs Identification/Analysis (TNI/TNA) based on individual, functional, and organizational requirements.  

  8. Develop and coordinate need-based training and development programs in collaboration with functional teams.  

  9. Support competency mapping and competency development initiatives across different functions and levels.  

  10. Track training effectiveness and evaluate whether development interventions are improving employee performance.  

  11. Support Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) for employees who are not meeting expected performance standards.  

  12. Handle performance management for client/project-based teams, where performance is measured through project delivery, productivity, quality, timelines, customer feedback, and other project-specific parameters.  

  13. Develop and maintain performance dashboards, review reports, and management MIS.  

  14. Work closely with Factory/Plant HR and Operations teams to align employee performance with production, quality, productivity, safety, and operational objectives.  

  15. Ensure PMS processes are consistently implemented at the factory/shop-floor level.  

  16. Support managers in conducting effective performance discussions and providing constructive feedback.  

  17. Maintain accurate performance records and ensure confidentiality of employee performance information.  

  18. Continuously improve PMS processes, policies, formats, and evaluation methodologies.  

Financial Management

1. Lead the overall Finance & Accounts function.

2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

3. Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.

4. Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards.

5. Develop financial policies, internal controls, and governance frameworks.


Budgeting & Financial Planning

1. Prepare Annual Operating Plan (AOP), budgets, and rolling forecasts.

2. Monitor budget utilization and variance analysis.

3. Support strategic financial planning and investment decisions.

4. Build financial models for new products, manufacturing expansion, and capital investments.


Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance

1. Drive product costing and profitability analysis.

2. Monitor BOM costing, manufacturing overheads, labor costs, and production variances.

3. Improve inventory valuation and inventory controls.

4. Analyze material cost, conversion cost, and plant operating expenses.

5. Work closely with Operations to improve plant profitability.


MIS & Business Reporting

1. Prepare weekly and monthly MIS reports for leadership.

2. Develop dashboards for revenue, profitability, cash flow, working capital, inventory, and production costs.

3. Present financial insights and recommendations to senior management.


Cash Flow & Working Capital

1. Manage cash flow forecasting.

2. Optimize working capital.

3. Monitor receivables, payables, and inventory levels.

4. Improve cash conversion cycle.


Compliance & Audit

1. Ensure statutory compliance including GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, and ROC filings.

2. Coordinate with statutory, internal, and tax auditors.

3. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and financial regulations.


Internal Controls & Risk Management

1. Develop and strengthen financial controls.

2. Conduct financial risk assessments.

3. Ensure SOP adherence across finance processes.

4. Drive fraud prevention and governance initiatives.

Banking & Treasury

1. Manage banking relationships.

2. Handle fund raising, working capital limits, and banking documentation.

3. Coordinate with financial institutions for loans, guarantees, and credit facilities.


ERP & Digital Finance

1. Lead ERP implementation and finance process automation.

2. Improve reporting through dashboards and digital tools.

3. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within finance operations.

Required Skills & Competencies

  1. Strong understanding of Performance Management Systems (PMS).  

  2. Hands-on experience with annual performance appraisal/evaluation processes.  

  3. Knowledge of KRA/KPI setting and competency-based assessments.  

  4. Experience in probation review and confirmation processes.  

  5. Good understanding of Training Needs Analysis (TNA/TNI) and training effectiveness.  

  6. Exposure to competency mapping and competency development.  

  7. Experience handling Performance Improvement Plans (PIP).  

  8. Understanding of project/client-based performance measurement models

  9. Strong HR documentation and MIS/reporting skills.  

  10. Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.  

  11. Ability to work closely with plant, production, quality, engineering, and operations teams.  

Experience

  1. 2–5 years of HR experience, with significant exposure to Performance Management.  

  2. Prior experience in a manufacturing, engineering, industrial, plant, or factory environment is strongly preferred.  

  3. Candidates who have handled PMS for shop-floor, technical, engineering, and corporate employees will be preferred.  

  4. Experience with HRIS/PMS platforms will be an added advantage.  

  5. Exposure to ISO/quality systems, competency matrices, skill matrices, and training calendars is desirable.
