Role Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated CFD Engineer with strong expertise in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), thermal analysis, and heat transfer simulations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing and optimizing liquid cooling systems, cold plates, heat exchangers, coolant distribution units (CDUs), and other thermal management products. 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform CFD simulations for thermal and fluid flow analysis using industry-standard software. 

  2. Develop and validate simulation models for liquid cooling systems, heat exchangers, cold plates, manifolds, and electronic enclosures. 

  3. Analyze airflow, liquid flow, pressure drop, temperature distribution, and heat transfer performance. 

  4. Optimize product designs for thermal efficiency, manufacturability, and reliability. 

  5. Work closely with Product Design, Mechanical, and R&D teams throughout the product development lifecycle. 

  6. Conduct mesh generation, solver setup, convergence studies, and post-processing of simulation results. 

  7. Prepare detailed engineering reports and present simulation findings with actionable recommendations. 

  8. Support prototype validation by correlating simulation results with experimental testing. 

  9. Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations for product improvements. 

  10. Stay updated with advancements in CFD methodologies, numerical modeling, and cooling technologies. 

Required Skills

  1. Experience in AI Data Center Cooling or High-Performance Computing (HPC) cooling applications. 

  2. Knowledge of Cold Plate, CDU (Coolant Distribution Unit), Immersion Cooling, Direct-to-Chip Cooling, or Heat Exchanger design. 

  3. Understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA). 

  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. 

  5. Excellent communication and documentation skills. 

  6. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment. 

Educational Qualification

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline. 

  2. 3–8 years of experience in CFD and thermal simulation. 

  3. Strong understanding of: 

  • Fluid Mechanics 

  • Heat Transfer 

  • Thermodynamics 

  • Turbulence Models 

  • Multiphase Flow (preferred) 

  1. Hands-on experience with CFD software such as: 

  • ANSYS Fluent 

  • STAR-CCM+ 

  • Simcenter FLOEFD 

  • OpenFOAM (preferred) 

  1. Knowledge of CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Siemens NX. 

  2. Experience in mesh generation and numerical solver techniques. 

  3. Familiarity with liquid cooling systems, HVAC, electronics cooling, or heat exchanger design is highly preferred. 

  4. Basic knowledge of scripting using Python or MATLAB is an added advantage.
